Ruben Block, lead singer of the Flemish rock band Triggerfinger, was given carte blanche by the Noord Nederlands Orkest to put together his own program. Expect a lot of new work, some surprising covers and of course some Triggerfinger classics.

Sooner or later, every artists takes a different path in life, whether that be from a rock band, an orchestra or something else that imposes restrictions. Ruben Block is such a person, someone who likes to lift his anchors at regular intervals and steer a new course. The Noord Nederlands Orkest gave Block carte blanche and adapted his own compositions and a number of his favorite songs. Think of songs like ''A Perfect Day Elise'' by PJ Harvey, ''Same Old Scene'' by Roxy Music, ''Where is my Mind?'' by Pixies and JJ Cale's ''Magnolia''.
