It’s wonderful to once again welcome you to our concerts and performances in Nieuwe Kerk and in Amare. Of course, at the present time the safety and health of our visitors, staff and performers remain our primary concern. Which is why the following COVID measures apply:

COVID certificate
Besides a regular admission ticket, all events in Amare require a COVID certificate. Everyone of 14 years and older will also be asked to show a proof of identity.

You can present your COVID certificate using the CoronaCheck app, and can take the form of a proof of vaccination, a proof of recovery, or a negative test result obtained through Testen voor Toegang (Testing for Entry).

If a COVID certificate is required, then this will be indicated clearly on the website page of the concert or performance. Children below 13 years old do not have to show a COVID certificate.

The 1.5m distancing rule has been waived for these events. Wearing a face mask is also not mandatory. You are of course free to wear a face mask, if you prefer.

How does the COVID certificate work?
Your COVID certificate is scanned upon entering the theatre. You can obtain this certificate in the form of a QR code via the CoronaCheck-app. You must first download the CoronaCheck-app from the App Store or the Google Play Store.

There are three ways for you to obtain a COVID certificate:

1.     A proof of vaccination
You can use the CoronaCheck app to convert your proof of vaccination into a QR code. This requires you to be fully vaccinated. As soon as your full vaccination has been registered, you can login to the app or the webpage using your DigiD. You can request a COVID certificate 14 days after becoming fully vaccinated. If you gave permission for this at the time of the vaccination, your vaccination information is automatically retrieved from the RIVM, the GGD or the hospital. If it doesn’t happen automatically, then you can personally add your COVID certificate to the app. Visit the website www.coronacheck.nl to find out how to convert your proof of vaccination into a COVID certificate.

2.   A negative test result
You have arranged for a free COVID test via www.testenvoortoegang.org and have received a negative test result not more than 24 hours ago. The test site will provide you with a code to convert the result into a QR code, via the CoronaCheck app or www.coronacheck.nl. This code will be scanned when entering the theatre. Please note: you can only make an appointment for a COVID test 2 weeks before the date of the event. Only test results obtained via Testen voor Toegang are accepted.

3.    A proof of recovery
Have you been infected with COVID and can you prove it with a positive PCR test? Then you can also upload a so-called proof of recovery in the CoronaCheck app. This happens automatically when you login to the app using your DigiD. But it only works if the positive test is between 12 and 180 days old.

The QR code is your COVID certificate, and will be scanned when entering the event. Don’t forget to carry a proof of identity as well. The admission staff will compare the personal information on the proof of identity with the information on the COVID certificate.

Don’t have a smartphone?
You can also print out the COVID certificate via the CoronaCheck.nl website.
