Corinne Bailey Rae

Her latest album Black Rainbows (2023) marks a striking artistic transformation inspired by the Stony Island Arts Bank in Chicago, a monumental archive of Black art and culture founded by Theaster Gates. On Black Rainbows, Bailey Rae explores themes of history, identity and liberation through an adventurous sound world that moves between punk energy, celestial soul and minimalist poetry.
Her work now extends beyond music into visual art, writing and performance, reflecting her belief in art as a space for remembrance, resistance and renewal.
