Elten Kiene (host)

Elten Kiene is a spoken word artist, presenter, and connector par excellence. As co-founder of Woorden Worden Zinnen (Words Become Sentences), he is committed to word art in the broadest sense of the word, always using language as a bridge between different worlds.

In 2020, he received the South Holland Culture Award from the Culture Fund for his ability to reach a wide audience with literary programs and to encourage young poetry performers. As a coach at Young Perspectives, he gives workshops in youth prisons and provides training for youth officers and probation officers, among others.

Elten is a regular presenter at events such as the North Sea Jazz Festival, Down The Rabbit Hole, and Wantijpop. With his sharp pen and warm stage presence, he always leaves behind something that connects, surprises, and lingers.
