With her velvety sound, sparkling tonal language and captivating compositions, the Dutch saxophonist Kika Sprangers is one of the most captivating musicians in our country. In her performance, she unites vulnerability and strength with complete dedication. A vision that musically comes to life in a preference for unorthodox instrumentations and contrasts between symphonically rich passages and charged silences. It's jazz poetry that invites you to surrender to your imagination.

Kika Sprangers is not only an exceptional composer, as well as an instrumentalist with great lyrical qualities.

Jazzthetik ★★★★★

In this project, the Kika Sprangers Large Ensemble plays the new music of (In)finity. In a chamber jazz line-up, she brings the perfect blend of vocals with saxophone, bass clarinet, flute, trumpet and horn with room for improvisation and individual timbre. (In)finity was released at the end of 2024 on the DOX Records label. The album was recorded at the end of Kika's new makers trajectory at TivoliVredenburg in January 2023. The conclusion of her residency at TivoliVredenburg forms the beginning of this project with her Large Ensemble. In the concert tour, the music from this album will be supplemented with new compositions.
