Enchanting melodies, Sufi grooves, and cinematic sounds; beyond borders with songs from along the Silk Roads.

Afro Anatolian Tales is an innovative musical project founded and led by renowned percussionist Sjahin During. For this third production, Tarab Dance, he is joined by trumpetist Antonio Moreno Glazkov, cellist Bence Huszar, and the young and talented Turkish musician Burak Savaş. Burak’s soulful voice and expressive violin blend effortlessly with Bram’s rubab and electronics, Bence’s cello’tronics, and Sjahin’s Afro Anatolian percussion.

This dynamic group draws from the musical heritage of Anatolia, Iran, India, and the legendary Silk Road, blending centuries-old traditions with contemporary Western soundscapes. Their music builds a bridge between Orient and Occident, where traditional instruments meet modern electronics and improvisation - offering a vibrant, layered listening experience that transcends borders and genres.

Tarab Dance is the third production of Afro Anatolian Tales and will be accompanied by an album release tour launching in 2025.
