New Year's concert

The much-lauded trumpetist Selina Ott will showcase her breathtaking technique and youthful energy in Tomasi’s Trumpet Concerto – once considered unplayable, but now an established piece in 20th-century trumpet music. She also shines in the cheerful Napoli by American trumpeter Bellstedt, a musical journey that brings the sun-drenched charm of southern Italy to life. The programme furthermore features some of the most beautiful French compositions, ranging from the dreamy sounds of Debussy’s Claire de lune and the lively charm of Poulenc’s Les biches, to the dramatic grandeur of Berlioz’s Le carnaval romain and the unforgettable melodies of Bizet’s L’Arlésienne.
