Michael Gordon's Trance is een van de meest invloedrijke stukken van de laatste decennia. In 2026 viert het werk haar 30ste verjaardag, een jubileum dat mooi samenvalt met de 70ste verjaardag van haar componist Michael Gordon in datzelfde jaar.

Ensemble Klang greep deze jubilea aan om het iconische werk in een internationale samenwerking met United Instruments of Lucilin uit Luxemburg naar de Nederlandse podia te brengen.

Daarbij koppelt zij Gordon’s Trance met nieuw werken van Calliope Tsoupaki en David Fennessy, geschreven voor dezelfde impactvolle bezetting: 23 uitversterkte musici op keyboards, trompetten, trombones, gitaren, panfluiten en saxen. Een bezetting met enorme impact geworteld in Nederland en Den Haag én in Louis Andriessen's Hoketus.

Deze uitvoering van Trance belooft oprecht een uitzonderlijke ervaring voor het publiek te worden.
