Accessibility The Hague and Amare around NATO summit

June 2025, news

During the NATO summit on Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 June Amare will remain accessible, but possibly with additional travel time. Read all about it below.

The NATO summit will come to the Netherlands on Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 June 2025. Dozens of world leaders, ministers and thousands of delegation members will come to the World Forum. In June, the municipality of The Hague will therefore take security measures in certain areas of the city. During that period, highways in the Randstad will be also closed to ensure that all participants of the NATO summit can be transported safely and without disruption between Schiphol and The Hague.

Accessibility The Hague in June
Therefore, the city – like the rest of the Randstad – is less accessible and there are also closures and diversions in The Hague itself. The earliest closures on main routes are on Thursday 19 June and the latest on Friday 27 June.

Consequences for your visit to Amare?
During this period, Amare will remain accessible, but possibly with additional travel time. For example, you can come by bike, by public transport and other options within and outside The Hague. Plan your journey well in advance, leave on time and follow the advice of Rijkswaterstaat and/or the municipality of The Hague as closely as possible.
