The festive season is approaching: a time for gathering together, sharing light and warmth. At Amare, we prefer to do this with music, dance, theatre and special encounters.

This allows us to give you and many other culture lovers magical moments. We are ambitious and cannot do this alone. Your support as an Amare Friend makes all the difference: it allows us to continue to make special performances and concerts possible in the coming season, which otherwise would not be seen in The Hague. This also applies to visitors who find it less easy to find their way to the theatre.

Benefits for Amare Friends

What are you contributing to?

Your Amare Friends contribution will benefit Stichting Podium van de Stad (City Stage Foundation). The foundation helps make special (international) programming possible for Stichting Amare.

This means that we can bring unforgettable productions to The Hague or the Netherlands that would otherwise not be seen. Thanks to your support, we can also make these kinds of productions more accessible to a large audience. In doing so, you contribute to our mission to be a cultural stage for everyone.

In the past, Stichting Podium van de Stad has distributed donations to, for example:

• Interactive installations as part of Open Amare, the free programme in public spaces.
• The international music festival for young people, Big Bang Festival.
• The moving international project From Here On about children in wartime.
• The controversial dance performance The Rite of Spring by Pina Bausch.
• The city opera and community project Maduro.
