Cuca Roseta

At age 18, Roseta began her career as a fado singer, performing at well-known fado clubs in Lisbon. She quickly rose to become a national star. She recorded her debut album with the multi-award-winning producer and musician Gustavo Santaolalla. She has performed in the most prestigious national concert halls and has also appeared on numerous stages internationally.

Cuca Roseta is much more than a voice. She is unique in her singing and has a brilliant and distinctive way of singing that makes us hold our breath and gets us “pinned to our seats", taking us on an intense and fascinating journey into the depths of the soul. And Cuca Roseta is all that: a surprising, opportune and dazzling fado voice in its purest state. A fado with all the truth it should have and that imperatively deserves to be heard.

In recent times, Cuca Roseta has asserted and confirmed all her talent before the mass audience, having presented them with two remarkable pieces of work. The first, a tribute album to Amália Rodrigues, Amália por Cuca Roseta which received huge praise from the media and lastly, her most recent album Meu, a record where the fado singer declares herself as the author and composer of all the tracks, a record which was highly applauded by her public. A work that enhances her country and its popular and musical roots, from fado to folklore. In March 2026, Cuca Roseta released a full album dedicated to traditional Fado.
