Millennium Jazz Orchestra ft. Claron McFadden & Manu van Kersbergen

Inspired by Li An Phoa’s adventurous book De Drinkbare Rivier, conductor Joan Reinders, in collaboration with lyricist Marieke Meischke, has composed songs and spoken word pieces about a turbulent journey of The River as it encounters Humanity, from its source to its flow into the sea. All aspects of the flowing water, as well as the cities it passes through, the flora, fauna and pollution, are explored and expressed through the words, the orchestral music and the enchanting visuals of award-winning nature filmmakers Arthur de Bruin & Dick Harrewijn.
