Vicky Chow and  Mivos Quartet join forces to perform Morton Feldman’s Piano and String Quartet in celebration of the composer’s 100th anniversary. 

Programme

Morton Feldman Piano and String Quartet

Lasting approximately 90 minutes, Piano and String Quartet is one of Feldman’s most iconic late compositions, unfolding in an expansive, hushed sound world that invites deep, sustained listening. This monumental work was commissioned and premiered in 1985 in Los Angeles by Aki Takahashi and the Kronos Quartet, and has since become a touchstone of late 20th-century experimental music.
