Saehyun Kim is only eighteen years old but already performs as a soloist in concert halls around the world, impressing with his calm focus and expressive playing.

Programme

Franz Schubert Sonata in G major, D894
Frédéric Chopin Nocturne in B major, op. 9 no. 3
Frédéric Chopin Sonate no. 2 in b-flat minor, op. 35 "Marche funèbre"
Frédéric Chopin Ballad no. 4 in f minor, op. 52

Kim tells a clear and compelling story through the piano. His playing is intense without becoming heavy, while always remaining warm in tone. This promising Dutch debut takes place in De Nieuwe Kerk, with the grand piano at the centre of the church space and the audience gathered around it. A unique chance to experience an exceptional young pianist from very close up, at the moment when his international career is visibly taking shape.
