As well as being the bandleader for Sven Hammond and the Sven Hammond Big Band, among others, Sven Figee trained as a classical pianist. During this musical evening, he and his young band of exceptionally talented musicians will perform a mix of music from his TV appearances on Podium Klassiek, film scores, jazz classics and his own compositions.

In addition to his role as bandleader with various bands, Sven is currently also the ‘resident pianist’ on the successful Dutch TV programme Podium Klassiek (NTR), which has been running for over 10 years and on which he has a regular segment. Alongside his career as a performing artist, Sven has developed over the years as a composer and wrote the entire soundtrack for the feature film/nature documentary North Sea – Nature Untamed (De Wilde Noordzee), which was awarded a Golden Calf for the most successful documentary in the Netherlands. During the past theatre season, Sven brought the music from this film to the stage, combined with visuals, in the theatre production De Wilde Noordzee.
