With SYML, American singer-songwriter Brian Fennell brings indie pop back to its essence. Performing under a name that means ‘simple’ in Welsh, he weaves minimalist synths and piano into emotionally compelling compositions. After his global breakthrough with Where’s My Love, he has continued to push himself artistically — now in a special collaboration with the Metropole Orkest, conducted by Jules Buckley.

In 2023, his second album, The Day My Father Died, was released, featuring contributions from Charlotte Lawrence, Guy Garvey (of Elbow), and Nickel Creek. He has also previously collaborated with Lana Del Rey. SYML moves effortlessly across genres, making the collaboration with the Metropole Orkest a natural step that adds extra depth and richness to his music.

The programme features both his biggest hits and selections from his recent album Nobody Lives Here, his clearest and most incisive work to date. With over four billion streams, the multi-platinum artist explores themes of grief, loss, mortality, and the passage of time — always with unwavering harmony and emotional depth.
