Choreographer Ohad Naharin, an unparalleled voice in the world of contemporary dance, continues to reinvent himself time and again. Naharin began working with NDT more than 30 years ago, resulting in the creation of the acclaimed Minus 16 (1999) for NDT 2, as well as performances of beloved works from his repertoire, including The Hole (2013), which NDT 1 performed in the NDT Blackbox in 2023, to sold-out audiences and rave reviews..
In June and July 2026, we continue our long-standing collaboration with Naharin and present his latest groundbreaking creation ZŌ(2025) in the NDT Blackbox. For ZŌ, Naharin collaborated with DJ and composer Tai Rona, and together they created an immersive dance and sound experience in an intimate space where there is no longer any distance between audience and dancer. In ZŌ, the audience is fully immersed in Naharin’s world—filled with theatricality, multilingual singing, dynamics, and humanity.
ZŌ premiered last December with Batsheva Dance Company and can be seen exclusively in The Hague at NDT. The production will not tour the Netherlands.
