The NATO summit will come to the Netherlands for the first time on Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 June 2025. Dozens of world leaders, ministers and thousands of delegation members will come to the World Forum. In June, the municipality of The Hague will therefore take security measures in certain areas of the city. During that period, highways will also be closed to bring participants of the NATO summit safely to the World Forum.

During this period, Amare will remain accessible, but possibly with additional travel time. For example, you can come by bike, by public transport and other options within and outside The Hague.

Johan de Wittlaan closed from Monday 14 April
From Monday 14 April, Johan de Wittlaan will be completely closed to road users. All lanes of the Johan de Wittlaan between Eisenhowerlaan and the beginning of President Kennedylaan will be closed. The closure may cause traffic congestion and traffic jams. You are therefore advised to allow for extra travel time and to use the diversion routes. The closure will last until early August.

They advise you to avoid the Randstad from Sunday 22 to Thursday 26 June and otherwise adjust your travel behaviour accordingly. For example, by not travelling during rush hour and using public transport.
