At Amare, you discover international dance you will not see everywhere. From leading companies to makers who are redefining the boundaries of dance worldwide, the programme brings productions to The Hague that are artistically sharp, visually striking and often socially urgent. Many of these performances are presented in the Netherlands for the first time, giving audiences at Amare the chance to experience new international developments up close.

With these Dutch premieres and exceptional international productions, Amare holds a distinctive position within the dance landscape. Not only as a stage for major names, but also as a home where new voices, perspectives and forms come together. Here, you encounter dance that moves between styles, cultures and disciplines, and reflects what is happening in the world today.

Amare works as a co-producer with national and international companies, and together with partners including Holland Dance Festival, Nederlands Dans Theater and FIND, the International Dance Fund, brings high-profile productions to The Hague. In this way, Amare becomes a place where international dance is not only presented, but where audiences, makers and partners meet around impactful productions.
