Amare stage to host dinner table for 500 residents of The Hague on May 5

Tuesday, May 5, is Liberation Day, when we celebrate our freedom in the Netherlands. Throughout the city, residents of The Hague will gather for dozens of Freedom Meals organized by residents and organizations. The largest of these is the City Meal, which will take place this year on the Amare stage. You are welcome to join 500 other residents of The Hague to eat, talk, and enjoy a rich cultural program together on Liberation Day.
Amare & The Hague Freedom Meals: an excellent match
Whereas The Hague Freedom Meals aim to connect people through food, Amare does so through music and dance from all cultures. The most important similarity between the two? Connecting people and encouraging encounters. Amare is literally located in the center of the city, but considers it very important to also be at the center of society, which is why a project such as The Hague Freedom Meals is such a good fit. It underlines the objective of contributing to the city's social challenges, such as combating loneliness.

Rich cultural program
This year, the cultural program for the City Meal is being organized in close collaboration with Amare's program department. Together with them, a wonderful program is being put together for all the guests. A program that includes a performance by the Residentie Orkest and that amazes, connects, and stimulates conversation. And the great thing is: it's not just the program in the theater that takes center stage that day. Various activities will be offered throughout the theater and on Spuiplein on May 5. This will allow as many residents of The Hague as possible to be involved in a festive May 5 celebration.

The City Meal will take place on May 5 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM in Amare. For all fellow citizens who don't want to miss this: just a little more patience. Registration for the City Meal will soon be possible via the website of the Hague Freedom Meals.
