The Dancing Strings Festival brings together the most enchanting string instruments from around the world in diverse ensembles. This festival takes you on a musical journey exploring the versatility of string instruments in many forms. From hand-plucked folk instruments to the refined tones of court and modern strings, the festival offers a rich variety of sounds and styles that will surprise and captivate the audience.

The fourth edition of the festival focuses on women in music. Seven female artists from different parts of the world share their talent and passion on stage. They bring a unique mix of cultural backgrounds and perform on a variety of string instruments, both as soloists and in ensemble.

The women combine two contrasting instruments: the sentir, a social instrument that evokes dance and trance, and the harp, rooted in courtly traditions and primarily developed as a listening instrument. The piano also joins this special combination, highlighting the similarities between the sentir and piano as percussive string instruments.

In the accompanying orchestra, percussion and bass play a key role, enhancing the groove and dynamic of the performance. The festival features new, specially commissioned pieces for this edition that honor the unique sounds of the instruments while leaving room for improvisation and collective musical exploration.
