With Everybody Dance Now, Amare is launching the ultimate new International Social Dance Festival: a single festival ticket for social dance, workshops, and spectacular national and international dance performances and live music, programmed by Amare in co-production with our social dance partners. From lindy hop to hip-hop, from salsa to house, and from the dance floor to the stage: all of Amare is dancing, and everyone is welcome. This first edition takes place during Amare’s 5th-anniversary weekend.

 

Everyone feels it more than ever, it’s time to dance, or, as Son Mieux once said at Amare: “The Hague: I want to dance with you, baby!”

Let’s dance!
During Everybody Dance Now, Amare is all about social dance, live music, and international dance culture. Not just one venue, not just one style, not just one way to participate: the entire building becomes part of the festival. From foyers to studios and from the dance floor to the Dance Theater, you’ll discover workshops, performances, live acts, and encounters with dancers, creators, and communities.

From lindy hop, salsa, tango, bachata, and forró to hip-hop, house, funk, disco, groove, and rave: everything is on the menu. You can join in, watch, learn, let loose, or simply follow where the music takes you. Two left feet? No worries! This festival is for anyone who wants to experience dance: from curious beginners to seasoned dancers, from stage enthusiasts to night owls.

Featuring work by Rambert, ICK Amsterdam, The Ruggeds & Ghetto Funk Collective, ARK/Connor Schumacher, and others, Everybody Dance Now takes you on a journey through club culture, stage dance, and social dance. One festival ticket grants access to the entire program: come for the performances, stay for the live music, join a workshop, and end up right in the middle of the dance floor.
