Starting at 5:30 p.m., you can visit the Indonesian mini-market, featuring Indonesian food and other products. The mini-market is free and open to the public, and will remain open throughout the program. No registration is required.
The English-language panel discussion begins at 7:30 p.m. We’ll discuss the history of Indonesia, current developments, experiences from the diaspora, and themes such as freedom, identity, solidarity, and the future of Indonesia.
81 years after Indonesia’s declaration of independence, we are bringing together scholars, artists, and members of the Indonesian community in the Netherlands. We are reflecting on what independence means today and how different perspectives on Indonesia and the diaspora are incorporated into this discussion.
