Intouchables

The Intouchables tells the true story of the unexpected friendship between Philippe, a wealthy man who becomes paralysed following an accident, and Driss, his young carer from the Parisian suburbs. What begins as a practical working relationship develops into a special bond filled with humour, clashing worlds and mutual understanding. The film became a global audience favourite thanks to its unique blend of emotion, humour and humanity.

Ludovico Einaudi’s music plays a key role in Intouchables. His recognisable piano melodies and subtle orchestral sounds lend the story extra emotional depth. Pieces such as Una Mattina and Fly have become inextricably linked with the film and are now among the best-known compositions in modern film music. During Intouchables Live in Concert, this music will be performed live by an orchestra of 25 top musicians from leading Dutch ensembles. Whilst the film is shown on the big screen, the live music adds an extra dimension that makes the concert a unique experience.
