MEAU proudly announces the reprise of her theatre tour Liefde Onderschat, scheduled for autumn 2026. In this intimate and personal performance, the award-winning singer-songwriter will perform both her well-known hits and songs from her new album. With sincere and honest lyrics, MEAU explores the beautiful sides of love as well as its doubts and complexities. In a warm and relatable atmosphere, she takes the audience on a musical journey through the many layers of romantic relationships.

Enjoy a vulnerable and pure theatre experience in which MEAU, together with her live band, opens her heart.

MEAU is a Dutch-language artist who has carved out a special place in the music landscape. Her debut album 22 was awarded an Edison Award. “MEAU has created a deeply personal and intensely relatable album. Songs about love, searching for yourself, feeling confused or leaving the chaos behind and feeling free. A beautiful reflection of life as a young adult today, wrapped in strong songs. With this album, she shows herself to be a singer-songwriter and pop artist of a high level,” the jury stated.

With Stukje Van Mij, MEAU scored her fourth Top 40 hit and made a significant social impact. The release, which addresses the sensitive subject of online shaming, even led to discussions in the Dutch House of Representatives, international media attention and an educational programme for schools.

Her songs are sensitive, danceable, dreamy and catchy all at once. MEAU has been making music since she could walk and stepped into the spotlight at an early age as part of the Kinderen voor Kinderen choir. She later developed quickly, studying at the Herman Brood Academy’s pop/rock programme and focusing on writing Dutch-language songs, inspired by artists such as Eefje de Visser, Sasha Alex Sloan and Holly Humberstone.
