Michael Varekamp was captivated by the legendary trumpeter Miles Davis from an early age and dedicated a large part of his career to him. With The Legends, he takes you on a thrilling journey through Miles’s mind. The setlist features classics like So What, Tutu and many other gems from albums such as Kind of Blue and Ascenseur pour l’échafaud.

 

Born on May 26, 1926, Miles Davis knew better than anyone how to reinvent himself and jazz time and time again. The legendary trumpeter was known for his brilliant insights and passionate lifestyle. The music he touched would never be the same again. He inspired icons like Quincy Jones, Prince, and Chaka Khan and was at the forefront of groundbreaking albums such as Kind of Blue and Ascenseur pour l’échafaud and Tutu.

Michael Varekamp was captivated by Miles from an early age and dedicated a significant part of his career to him. He toured Europe with Miles’ star saxophonist Sonny Fortune. Together with The Legends, the internationally acclaimed trumpeter takes you on a thrilling journey through Miles’ mind, with classics like So What and Tutu on the setlist
