Alongside the Matangi Moments concert series, the Matangi Quartet annually presents the Moving Music Festival: a vibrant one-day festival in which the Hague-based string quartet pushes boundaries and takes the audience into the ultimate Matangi experience.

In collaboration with the International Holland Music Sessions (IHMS), Matangi joins forces with three promising Young Masters. Within the intensive Moving Talent programme, they explore how classical masterpieces can take on a new form in the present day. Innovation, experimentation and artistic exchange are the driving forces. Expect new compositions, visual elements and stimulating reinterpretations of beloved repertoire for string quintet and piano quintet. The energy of these combined creative forces comes to life in a series of concerts during this festival day at De Nieuwe Kerk.
