The New Trombone Collective presents the world premiere of a new work by Michael Gordon for nine trombones, as a unique spatial sound experience in the Nieuwe Kerk in The Hague.

The New Trombone Collective, consisting of nine leading Dutch trombonists, is known for energetic playing, adventurous programming and a tightly blended ensemble sound. During this concert, they present the world premiere of a work by Michael Gordon, the American composer and co-founder of Bang on a Can, known for rhythmic intensity, layered masses of sound and impressive dramatic arcs. They also perform other spatial works, with the audience completely surrounded by sound in the vast and monumental church interior.
