Savina Yannatou and Primavera en Salonico join forces with Lamia Bedioui from Tunisia on a journey of discovery into WATER  through song. Songs in different languages that pass on traditions and myths about water in relation to  life and death, desire and purification, fertility and magic.

The world of the desert  is being brought to life through songs in the Arabic language and the dialects of the beduins by Lamia Bedioui with her characteristic sound colour. These pieces co-exist and intertwine with songs mostly from the Mediterranean region and of various time periods – from the renaissance until modern times.
Oud, quanun, violin, accordeon, percussion, waterphone, mbira and double bass are the instruments which accompany the voices, always with a contemporary approach balancing the traditional aspect with  playful arrangements and free improvisation, resulting in the unique sound of Savina Yannatou & Primavera en Salonico grown and refined in 32 years of continuous collaboration.
