Share a Folk Song is an initiative by singer Anouk Vinders. Singer Bernet Wilms co-hosts these evenings.
Anouk is a singer, teaches music to young people, and acts as a nomadic hostess. Together with Bernet, she researches Dutch folk songs. In projects such as “Share a Folk Song” and “Waterfolk,” Anouk invites people to share their musical backgrounds with the audience through exchange and participation. Anouk drew inspiration from Ethno France, Finland, and Estonia. This sparked a desire to create multicultural musical community gatherings in the Netherlands.
