The Baithak Gana Group Natraj was founded in 2016 by Shivam Rajaram, together with his brother and manager, Aatish Rajaram. The band is named after Natraj, the dancing form of the Hindu god Shiva, and embodies passion, tradition, and musical experience. Shivam Rajaram, the now 24-year-old Baithak Gana singer from The Hague, is part of the new generation of promising artists in Surinamese-Hindustani music. With a unique combination of traditional Baithak Gana sounds and modern influences, the band transforms every performance into an atmospheric and unforgettable experience.

Shivam Rajaram is considered one of the most popular Baithak Gana singers in the Netherlands and Suriname. Together with his band, the Baithak Gana Group Natraj—and, since 2019, his second group, Natraj Orchestra, he has become one of the leading Baithak Gana groups, both nationally and internationally. The band has become an integral part of the Hindustani entertainment scene and is beloved by young and old alike.

From a young age, Shivam Rajaram distinguished himself with a unique style in which traditional Baithak Gana and Chutney blend seamlessly with a fresh, contemporary sound. This successful combination not only brought him great popularity in the Netherlands and Suriname but also led to performances on international stages in Guyana, Trinidad, Canada, New York, Orlando, London, and South Africa. In May 2026, he also made history as the first Baithak Gana singer to perform at the world-famous Guitar Hotel at the Hard Rock Resort in Florida.

Today, Shivam Rajaram performs at festivals, cultural events, and exclusive private functions alongside his two groups, the Baithak Gana Group Natraj and the Natraj Orchestra. With his youthful charisma, powerful voice, and strong connection to his cultural roots, he consistently captivates a wide audience, both in the Netherlands and in Suriname.
