Spraakmakers is a travelling concert series that connects classical music with the world of today, combining storytelling and performance into a theatrical musical experience.

Joey Roukens String quartet no. 4 'What Remains'

In this new special edition of Spraakmakers, the renowned Belgian actor Jan Decleir and leading actress Georgina Verbaan lend their voices to the music of the Dudok Quartet and pianist Hannes Minnaar. Together, in a single evening, they bring two topical and thought-provoking stories about fear of life (Georgina Verbaan) and hereditary kingship (Jan Decleir). The stories nourish the music and the music nourishes the stories. In this way, Spraakmakers makes music from long ago sound newly relevant in today's world.
