Podium de Nieuwe Kamer organizes sparkling Sunday afternoon jazz concerts twice a month at the Kunstenplein. PDNK does this in collaboration with Open Amare and Brasserie Amare.

At each concert, top musicians play a live set with their own band from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The concerts are free to attend thanks to the support of Open Amare and Brasserie Amare. During the concert, you can relax and stay seated: the Brasserie team will come by with drinks and snacks. During the intermission, we ask for a voluntary contribution to keep these live jazz concerts possible. Donations can be made in cash or easily via a QR code.

Programme

The band’s repertoire consists of arrangements of works by jazz musicians such as Rob Madna, Jerry van Rooijen, Frans Elsen, Thad Jones, Herbie Hancock, and Miles Davis, created by founder, trumpeter, and bandleader Wim Minnaar (✝ 2022). What the program will entail remains a surprise, but with THJP, success is always guaranteed!

Back by popular demand at Jazz em Brasse to close out a fantastic jazz season: The Hague Jazz Project. The Hague Jazz Project (THJP) is a 12-piece small big band, consisting of 3 saxophones, 3 trumpets, 3 trombones, and a 3-piece rhythm section. This allows them to perform in both the traditional big band style and a softer combo style.
