Luister

Master bassoonist Bram van Sambeek shines in Morricone's moving Gabriel's Oboe. The work is known from the film The Mission, which shows how Jesuits introduced Spanish and Portuguese music in South America. This music was adopted by the original inhabitants and enriched with African rhythms and indigenous traditions, leading to dance forms such as the danzón, milonga and tango. With the fiery and lyrical music of Piazzolla, Ginastera and Márquez, Ciconia presents a varied concert full of stories, history and passion. A concert with music that does not merely ask to be heard, but to be deeply felt.
