Five years ago, it started with a first show at De Zwarte Ruiter during Sniester Festival. Since then, Wodan Boys have grown on their own terms, all the way to a sold-out show at PAARD’s Grolsch Zaal. After countless performances, turning more than a few festivals upside down, three EPs and a studio album driven by Hague pride and a raw, no-nonsense mentality, Wodan Boys return to their hometown for their biggest show ever. On 18 September 2027, the Wodans will take over Amare’s Concertzaal. Loud, straight to the point and without losing sight of danceability and humour. Their sound balances on the thin line between wild guitars and bold melodic hooks.
After earlier EPs and debut album Godspeed A Go Go, Wodan Boys have created a sound entirely their own. Earlier this year, the band released the singles Don’t Be Silly, in collaboration with Golden Earring member Barry Hay, and Blindsided. These songs will be part of a second album the band is currently working on. Whatever genre you might want to attach to this new work, one thing is certain: the word rock belongs in there. A band that cannot be stopped: Wodan Boys are one of those acts you want to have seen. From De Zwarte Ruiter to PAARD to Amare, what’s next? This is your chance to dive into the moshpit in Amare’s iconic Concertzaal.
