Step inside, let go and surrender to the magic of Efteling. To celebrate its 75th anniversary, Darkride comes to the theatre: an enchanting dance spectacle full of acrobatics, mystery and iconic Efteling music. Guided by a mysterious magician, you travel through the World of Wonders, where nothing is quite what it seems and everything can change in the blink of an eye.

Step into a world where nothing is quite what it seems
Efteling celebrates its 75th anniversary with Darkride: an exciting theatre journey full of dance, acrobatics, music and imagination. Master choreographer Ed Wubbe, known for TING! and Oscar, brings the magic of Efteling to the stage. A mysterious magician leads you into a world that feels both strange and familiar, dark and light, thrilling and enchanting. In this performance, you follow a colourful company of dancers and acrobats through ever-changing worlds. At times grotesque and dangerous, then poetic, moving and dreamlike. Just like in a real dark ride, you never quite know what is waiting around the next corner. Do you dare to step into the unknown? Or would you rather stay safely on the side?

Iconic Efteling music, dance and acrobatics
In Darkride, Efteling’s iconic music takes on a new theatrical form. Composer René Merkelbach, known for the music of Raveleijn and Danse Macabre, has specially reworked these familiar sounds for the stage. Vocal artist Luca Warmer adds her distinctive voice and guides the audience through this magical journey.

On stage, some of the Netherlands’ finest dancers and acrobats come together, brought together especially for Darkride by Ed Wubbe. Together, they create a world that awakens the child within, sets your imagination racing and invites you to follow your feelings. A wondrous performance for everyone who loves suspense, beauty and a generous dose of Efteling magic.
