The Final Concert of Festival Klassiek achter de Duinen will be a finale you won’t forget. The concert opens with a work that immediately gets under your skin: the Piano Quintet by Robert Schumann. Passion and vulnerability come together in a gripping dialogue full of tension, lyricism, and dramatic outbursts.

Robert Schumann Piano Quintet in E-flat major, Op. 44
Felix Mendelssohn String Quintet No. 2 in B-flat major, Op. 87
Olli Mustonen Nonet No. 1

After the intermission, the energy is taken up another notch with two works that each shine in their own way. The String Quintet No. 2 by Felix Mendelssohn radiates drive and elegance, with sparkling lines and an irresistible lightness. In the Nonet No. 1 by Olli Mustonen, a colourful sound world bursts forth as nine musicians build toward a thrilling climax, bringing the festival to a stylish close.
