Podium de Nieuwe Kamer organizes sparkling Sunday afternoon jazz concerts twice a month at the Kunstenplein. PDNK does this in collaboration with Open Amare and Brasserie Amare.

At each concert, top musicians play a live set with their own band from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The concerts are free to attend thanks to the support of Open Amare and Brasserie Amare. During the concert, you can relax and stay seated: the Brasserie team will come by with drinks and snacks. During the intermission, we ask for a voluntary contribution to keep these live jazz concerts possible. Donations can be made in cash or easily via a QR code.

Programme

Fingerprint is a group of five like-minded, internationally successful musicians who have chosen to join forces and leave a lasting mark as a close-knit collective. They perform pieces from their CDs.

Fingerprint is a Dutch all-star collective led by trumpeter Jan van Duikeren, with roots in nu-jazz, funk, soul, and gospel. Van Duikeren wasn’t just looking for a band to bring his musical vision to life: Fingerprint.

With three studio albums, a successful tour of China, and a series of high-profile performances in the Netherlands, that imprint is slowly beginning to take shape. Jan van Duikeren has been one of the most sought-after and internationally acclaimed trumpeters in the Netherlands for years.

His impressive list of collaborations includes such diverse names as Candy Dulfer, Lonnie Smith, Joe Jackson, Diana Ross, Paul Weller, and many, many others. None other than Quincy Jones praised the musical skills of the multiple Edison Award winner.
