People say things, and for those people there is a traveling home: a platform for spoken word, prose, poetry, and music. We move across the Netherlands between festivals, clubs, theaters, and stages.

Mensen Zeggen Dingen (MZD) is more than a stage. We connect creators, audiences, venues, and organizations. Since 2014, we have been producing, programming, organizing, and hosting the leading spoken word platform in the Netherlands.

Things are meaningless if no words are put to them. That is exactly what these people do. Speaking things out, making them open for discussion, adding exclamation marks or question marks, and determining the order. The rhythm, the performance, the artists, and their words change the world. They have something to say. It is up to you to listen.

Mensen Zeggen Dingen (MZD) is the traveling platform for spoken word, poetry, prose, and music. Since 2014, we have been giving space to words that touch and strengthen communities. Just like the art form itself, we move between festivals, theaters, concert halls, cafes, and rehearsal spaces. We connect creators, audiences, and stages.

With every club show, a different group of performers; every night different stories; every edition a unique theme. Always sharpened pens and tongues. Expect spoken word, poetry, prose, and music. Expect to be left speechless and moved to the point of tears.
