'Sometimes the reason behind a concert programme is very straightforward: love for music', says soprano Lilian Farahani. Brahms, Barbara, Satie and Piazzolla: it is but a sample, yet the surprises are numerous. During her debut in the vocalists serie Farahani presents her favorite music alongside her favorite musicians.

In addition to her musical partnership with pianist Maurice Lammerts van Bueren, Farahani has chosen to invite cellist Ella van Poucke. Why? "Because I think the cello is one of the most beautiful instruments in existence, and because Ella is one of the best musicians in the Netherlands." With this program, Lilian Farahani combines her favorite music with her favorite musicians: My Favorite Things.
