In his organ cycle Les Corps Glorieux, Olivier Messiaen connects sound, image and physical experience, placing the body at the centre.

Olivier Messiaen Les Corps Glorieux

On the one hand, the dancers' bodies translate the physical experience of organ playing and make the organist's usually hidden movements visible; on the other, they embody the physical qualities of the biblical Corps Glorieux (Corinthiens) that stand at the centre of Messiaen's work.
