The little blue notebook has gone missing. The notebook that contained countless stories of a young, imaginative soul. As Elizabeth tries to recall the notebook and its contents, old and new stories unfold, musically imagined through piano and toy piano.

Programme

Music by Escher, Gubaidulina, Crumb and new compositions by Mattias Spee & Appolon Kalamenios

"Imagination is the only weapon in the war against reality."

Lewis Carroll

The boundary between reality and imagination gradually blurs in a musical wonderland of unexpected repertoire, advanced techniques and electronics: exciting and sometimes unsettling. The Little Blue Notebook is an unconventional piano recital that combines music, storytelling and collaboration with a mime performer, inviting the audience to reflect on the role of imagination in a restless world.
