At Amare, we are proud to present the extraordinary performance Kontakthof – Echoes of '78 by Pina Bausch, choreographed by Meryl Tankard. We are offering a rich programme of activities around this iconic production, which can be seen from Wed 15 to Sun 19 Oct.
Introduction & Aftertalk
45 minutes before each performance, Annette Embrechts (theatre and dance critic for de Volkskrant) will give an introduction. Please arrive on time, as seating is limited.
After the performance on Sun 19 Oct, an aftertalk with Meryl Tankard and Salomon Bausch will take place in the Spinoza Foyer. Can’t be there but curious about Meryl Tankard’s perspective? Then read our interview with her.
Pina - A film made by Wim Wenders to honor Pina Bausch
On Sat 11 & Fri 17 Oct, Filmhuis Den Haag will show the brilliant film portrait that Wim Wenders made in 2011 about the work of the legendary choreographer Pina Bausch. A must see for dance lovers!
Dance on in Infinity
On Sat 18 Oct a panel discussion will take place with choreographers, heirs and creators. In the Spinoza Foyer, they’ll explore whether and how we can keep modern dance repertoire alive. We will also delve into the image archive for special recordings.
Nelken Line
All ages and levels are welcome to dance along on Sat 18 Oct with the beloved Nelken Line, a famous dance sequence. Under the guidance of dancer Isabelle Chaffaud, you’ll learn the choreography and perform it together in one long line through Amare and, if the weather is nice, across the Spuiplein. Come along and dance with us!
