Amare reflects on Climate week

November is Climate Month. Amare takes part in reflecting on the Climate week taking place from 10 to 16 November and the UN Climate Conference from 10 to 21 November with a variety of concerts exploring the theme of climate.

The programme features several concerts and performances that touch on the topics of nature and climate, such as Environments: Peter Adriaansz's reflection on humanity and society by Ensemble Klang. In Talisker by I SOLISTI & HIIIT & Clarinet Choir, we hear Olivier Messiaen's Oiseaux Exotiques which was inspired by the birdsong he listened to in nature. Children can discover the power of nature with Thor and his friend Loki in Thor (8+) by ISH Dance Collective and The Ballet Orchestra. Which performance will you be attending?

Don’t forget to stop by our Vertical Video installation in the public space, where we present new video artwork every two months. In November and December it is Moving Matter by artist Leon Lapa Pereira. Unsurpringly, nature and climate take centre stage in his work too. The video explores the rights of water, environmental awareness, and collective care. "It explores the intimate relationship between the human body – composed of about 60% water – and water itself. Through interactive projection, the work invites audiences to sense this interconnection physically and emotionally." Come take a look!
