Latin The Hague presents: Noite de Zouk

Brazilian Zouk ontstond in Brazilië in de vroege jaren 1990, voortkomend uit de Lambada — zelf een dans die in de late jaren 1980 internationaal doorbrak. Nadat de Lambada-muziek uit de mode raakte, gingen dansers op zoek naar nieuwe ritmes en vonden die in de Caribische Zouk-muziek. Zo ontstond een vloeiende, sensuele partnerdans met een eigen identiteit. Brazilian Zouk wordt gedanst in koppels, waarbij het hoofd van de volger soepele, golvende bewegingen maakt.

At the Kunstenplein in Amare, lively social dance evenings are regularly organised in a variety of dance styles, such as Latin, West Coast Swing and Kizomba. Everyone is welcome to join in—whether you’re curious about a new style or have been hitting the dance floor for years. Each social dance evening begins with a workshop tailored to the style of the evening.

Latin The Hague organises events in The Hague to offer everyone the opportunity to discover Latin American dance and music culture in a casual and fun way.
