Pianist David Fray has been described by the German newspaper Die Welt as a "perfect example of a thinking musician" and praised by the New York Times for his "musically refined and technically elegant performances".

Fray is renowned for his interpretations of music from Bach to Boulez and performs in the most important venues in the world, solo, with orchestra and in chamber music. He has a deep and enduring affinity for the works of Johann Sebastian Bach and plays his monumental Goldberg Variations in many prestigious concert halls. In 2021, Fray founded his own festival L'Offrande Musicale that takes place annually in his native region of Hauten-Pyrénées in southwestern France and supports people with disabilities.
