This still sounds incredibly festive today – Christmas!
Both in the German-speaking area and in the Low Countries there is an unprecedented amount of, often unknown, Christmas repertoire. Beautiful pieces in which the holiday is told in moving cantatas, concertos, motets and instrumental sonatas. Again and again we hear the story about the star and the hour of expectation: Sternstunde.

and 12 musicians Holland Baroque
Ensemble Polyharmonique is a soloist collective and rising star in the German vocal baroque sky. Their specialty is the early baroque, German-language repertoire. Together with them, Holland Baroque presents an inventive program by composers including Hammerschmidt, Knupfer, Praetorius, Rosenmüller and Schütz. The Dutch repertoire from the same time is also discussed. In Northern European tradition, this is interspersed with folk Christmas carols. The old Christmas call 'Noe, Noe!' spreads the good news with music that sparkles and warms.
