Step into a fairytale world full of magic swans and music. An evil sorcerer has cursed princess Odette. Can the prince find his true love?

Tsjaikovski/Longstaff Delen uit ‘Het Zwanenmeer’

This fairy tale is about a prince who falls in love with the beautiful swan princess Odette, who has been cursed by an evil sorcerer and can only become human by the power of true love. Intent on preventing this, the sorcerer sends his own daughter, who looks exactly like the swan princess, to the prince’s ball. Will the prince recognise the true swan princess?

Swan Lake is a beautiful performance with music by Tchaikovsky, who uses various melodies to personify the characters and their emotions. A sad and elegant theme accompanies the moment when Odette introduces herself to the prince, while the prince’s birthday is celebrated to the sound of a merry, glittering waltz. And a tense, ominous motif plays as the sorcerer forges his evil plans. The enchanting puppetry, the animations, the décor and the performance bring this beautiful fairy tale to life.
