And where can you find such a wonderful and diverse ensemble landscape as in The Hague? In this series, this is reflected in an exciting seasonal combination of the Matangi Quartet with the New European Ensemble (NEuE). NEuE joins forces with Orchestre Partout. A contemporary initiative by musicians from the diaspora who use music as a universal language. NEuE also dedicates a portrait to Sofia Gubaidulina, who fled Russia during the Cold War. A theme that cannot be missed in The Hague, the city of Peace and Justice. The Matangi Quartet takes it a step further and focuses their musical language on the connection between heaven and earth with classical composers such as Mozart, Prokofiev, Puccini, and Beethoven, composers who continue to inspire with musical stories to this day.
