Lera Auerbach schrijft heel menselijke muziek, voor het podium geschreven en met een theatrale spanning. Zij is een moderne, actuele stem, terwijl ze ook voortborduurt op haar Russische voorgangers. Auerbachs muziek kent een enorme gelaagdheid en dat is haar kracht.

Lera Auerbach herself is very enthusiastic about this young ensemble: 'I am very happy that they devote themselves to my music with such passion'. The warm bond between the composer and the trio has led to Auerbach dedicating her Third Piano Trio to these young musicians. It is energetic music that pushes boundaries. That makes performing and listening to this work an experience. The CD recording that the Delta Piano Trio has made of Auerbach's first two piano trios has been praised by the international music press.
